I would like to buy a headpiece but I’m getting married in two weeks, what can I do?
If your order is urgent, I will be happy to do my best to help you. Please email me to discuss the options. A priority order may be available, subject to the time of year, the amount of bespoke orders I am working on at any given time, and the availability of supplies. Priority orders ship within 7 working days (as opposed to 2-3 weeks for regular orders) and are subject to a €15 fee (€25 for shipping within 2-3 working days)

Where do you ship & what are the costs?
Blackbird’s Pearl is based in Hamburg and ships worldwide.

Germany - 2-3 working days 5.90 €
Europe & the UK - 5 - 10 working days 8.90 €
Rest of the world - 2-5 weeks depending on location 22.50 €
UPS Express for Europe and Overseas - 1-3 working days depending on location € 35.00

Shipping times exclude the time needed to create your order.
Please note we cannot be held responsible for packages which are delayed or lost in the mail.
Please note that you are responsible for any import tax and duties.
All orders are sent using DHL, except for UPS Express orders. If you have any other shipping requirements, please get in touch.
How long until my order ships ?
If you have ordered a piece from the collection without or with only minor changes, it will usually be ready for shipping within 2-3 weeks, sometimes sooner. Please look at the individual product descriptions for information about when your order will be ready to ship.
For a bespoke piece this will depend on the design and the work involved and I will give you an accurate time once we have discussed what I will make for you.
Will I be notified when my order has shipped?
Yes of course.
You will receive an email to confirm your order shortly after payment and another one once your order has shipped.
Depending on the shipment option you have chosen I will also provide you with a tracking number.
Do you accept custom changes to a piece I like ?
Please email me with any custom requests or if you would like to order a bespoke piece,
and will usually get back to you within 24 hours (weekdays) to discuss how I can help you.
What does it cost to make changes to an existing design?
Minor changes don't cost anything, custom colours may incur extra costs. Other changes, such as adding pearls, using different flowers, using a more expensive or specially sourced fabric or increasing the size of a piece will incur extra costs and I will send you a quote for this once you have told me what you would like.
How can designs be adapted?
Attachments - depending on your hairstyle you might need an alice band rather than a comb, or you might prefer a clip etc. Contact me with your requirements before ordering
Embellishments - you might want to add some sparkle or pearls to a design, or reduce what's there if you prefer something simpler.
You might want a custom colour for a design, smaller petals, something heavier, lighter - the possibilities are endless
How much is a bespoke piece?
The price of a bespoke piece can vary depending on the amount of work involved in developing the piece, the time used to make the design & the materials used and whether they are especially sourced for you. Completely new designs may require a £50 pound bespoke order fee in addition to the price of the main piece, but this depends on the final design.

What if I'm not sure what I want, or what suits me?
Don't worry if you don't know exactly what you want.
Show me some images you like, tell me about the style of your wedding, your dress etc.
It's easier than you think and I'm confident I can help you find something that will suit you perfectly.
How do I know that the colour matches my dress ?
Sometimes what is called ivory in my designs might not necessarily match your ivory wedding dress.
In addition to that, colours may appear different on different screens. If you're not sure, send me an email with your address and I'll post you a fabric sample so you can check it against your gown before you order.
Can I return my order ?
You can return any unused, undamaged items. You must email prior to returning them and send them 7 days after you have received them, making sure you return them in the exact packaging that you have received them in, otherwise we cannot accept the return/refund you.
We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges on custom or bespoke orders once they have been made and shipped.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express or regular account payments. If you would like to pay by bank transfer please contact us.
We are in the process of setting up paypal, please bare with us. If you would like to use paypal in the meantime please send us a quick email with the piece you would like to buy and we will sort you out.
Do you have a shop or a studio I can visit?
Blackbird’s Pearl doesn’t have a shop, but you are very welcome to book an appointment to visit the studio. During your consultation you can try on samples, and we can chat about your ideas and requirements for your perfect accessory. If you are thinking about having a bespoke piece made, this is when we can sit down, look at all your inspiration and work on the design together.
